Hi, I'm Regina! I used to Blog Here!

OK...our traveling is over for the year and I'm back! I plan on posting on all our fun summer trips very soon. Mr. C and I have been extremely busy and out of town almost every single weekend this summer! Finally getting back in the swing of things and seriously want to start keeping this blog up to date with EVERYTHING we do. I started it as a journal to have a record of our travels and fun events. I do find it difficult to write sometimes because I am not exactly sure who is reading, but if I keep writing maybe more people will start reading.

My brain is pretty scattered right now, so I will leave you with things I'm totally lovin' right now!

1. I love that it is finally fall outside!
2. I love being able to ride to work with the windows down and the heat on my feet!
3. I love that I finally got my tattoo! I'll post pics!
4. I love waking up in my own house on Saturday morning rather than in a hotel.
5. I love that it is finally football season!
6. I'm loving some upcoming pinterest projects I am taking on. See below.

Under cabinet lighting for the kitchen

Art for above the bed
and map letters for our gallery wall

When I get a few more things done, I would love to eventually do a house tour! I love our townhouse and making it our own! Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!

Random Thursday Post

Where has this week gone?! Maybe it's because I missed work on Monday because I was laying on the beach...oops! Here are a few mid week randoms and things I'm loving!

1. I'm loving that the head of my company announced today that starting tomorrow, every Friday will end at 3:00pm instead of 6:00! Umm, yes please! Can you guess where I'll be?

2. I made a life list this morning...yes, a life list. What is a life list? I'm not really sure, just liked the name. I guess you could classify it as a glorified mid-year resolution list.

3. Why do I pay for a Sun Tan City Membership when I never use it? Waste.of.money!

4. I've been wanting some type of bluetooth contraption for my car. Searched online for all of 10 minutes and gave up because I didn't want to spend the money. Well today, on the way to work, I was listening to Pandora from my phone through an ipod cable and Mr. C called. A little voice in the back of my head told me to try and see if I could talk and Mr. C could hear me through the cable that connects my phone to the car. FREAKING AMAZEBALLS it worked!! Bluetooth via cell phone and ipod cable= super score!

5. Last night I tried a new recipe from Favorite Family Recipes. I made Coconut Chicken Curry with a cucumber and dill salad. I'm usually better at baking than cooking, but I'm going to pat myself on the back. It was super yummy and Mr. C approved.

6. We are hosting a soccer party at our house on Friday for Mr. C's soccer team. I plan on making some fun appetizers and desserts. I WILL be posting pics!

7. I'm loving that there is a Jack Daniels mug in our kitchen at work that I can drink my coffee out of daily. There is just something about drinking coffee out of this mug that makes everything seem right in the world (or maybe just my daydreams of whiskey in my coffee).

Starting Fresh...

Hi Guys! I took a minor aka 5 month blogging hiatus, but the good news is I'm back! I'm not even going to begin to explain all of things that happened since I've been gone, but rather start fresh.

Let me start off by saying that we are all good in the C household. I'm going to get back into things by letting you know that we are making some house renovations so stay tuned for that!

Mr. C, Ellie and I are headed to the wilderness this weekend to celebrate Memorial day and also the lives of my Dad and Papaw. They both passed on Memorial day weekend. My Papaw in 2001 and my Dad in 2007. It's a good time for Mr. C and I to get away and reflect on their lives. Plus, we love camping so any excuse to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend some time in the wilderness is much anticipated. We are headed to this lovely little place in Waynesboro, TN right on the Buffalo River.

No cell service in the backwoods=amazing! We plan on catching the live music at the campground on Saturday night and we have a canoe reserved for Sunday! We started the tradition last year and hope to keep it going for years to come even after little C's are running around! (Please note: no little C's are planned at this time) We will return on Monday and head over to the In-Loves house for a family cookout and pool time.

Stay tuned for more updates...I promise!

No excuses!

Ok, I'm back again and rather than boring you with all the reasons I haven't been blogging I will start fresh! Ok maybe just a few reasons! I started a new position at my full time job and that has put everything else on the back burner. I have been going in early and staying late and as soon as I got acclimated.. BAM...it was Christmas break. No, I am not in high school. I work in the music industry and one of our lovely perks is 2 weeks at Christmas! Jealous? You should be! Although it has been AMAZING to say the least it is coming to an end very very soon! Hi Ho Hi Ho...back to work I go (on Monday).

Mine and Mr. C's Christmas was absolutely amazing in every way just as a first Christmas as a married couple should be. We woke up to a White Christmas and headed for Chattanooga in the lovely Christmas weather! First stop was the Godmother's house for Christmas with the Bestie. Then, we headed over to my Grandmother's house and our final stop was my Grandparents on my mom's side! We spent the rest of the day spending quality time with my mom. We woke up on Sunday, watched some football, my mom made spaghetti, and then we headed back to Nashville because Mr. C had to be at work on Monday (poor guy).
Ok...enough about Christmas! Tonight we are having the Bestie and her boyfriend over for games and Chili (mom's recipe)!
I am totally excited about New Year's and one of my new year's resolution is to blog more! Surprise, surprise! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas! I'll be back soon! :)

I LOVE CHRISTMAS!

Christmas is my ABSOLUTE favorite holiday next to my birthday! I love everything about the Holidays and am so excited about CHRISTMAS in my near future! Tuesday, was a stressful day and I needed some cheering up so I decided it was time to start up the Christmas tunes on Pandora! Yep, that's right bring on the Mariah Carey Merry Christmas Album baby!! You know which one I'm talking about, no? ONLY THE BEST CHRISTMAS CD OF ALL TIME!! Sure it may be from the 90's, but those were the best times! I may expand my thoughts on that in a different post because I honestly don't think they make music or movies like they used to! I really want to bust out the decorations, but Mr. C says no! Yep, Scrooge himself says we can't put out the decor until after Thanksgiving. I guess I will just have to surround myself with everything else Christmas in the mean time. Even though Mr. C wants to wait, I am so excited about our little tradition we started last year! I am going to make a batch of my grandmother's amazing Russian Tea, turn on some Christmas tunes and trim the house in all things Christmas!! My Grandmother's Russian Tea is a fabulous little recipe that just screams Christmas time and makes your house smell absolutely lovely.

Bippie's Russian Tea
8 cups of water
5 tea bags
1 cup sugar
16 oz. orange juice
8 oz. pineapple juice
3 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp cloves
Make tea in the water, and add rest of ingredients. Simmer for at least half an hour, and serve.

Another thing I am looking forward to is creating our Christmas cards this year! If you have not seen Shutterfly's collection of Christmas cards you MUST check it out! I have used shutterfly to make photo books and calendars before, but this will be the first year of Christmas cards. YAY for first year family Christmas cards!!

They are having a giveaway for 50 free holiday cards when you post about it on your blog! There are some really adorable Christmas cards as well as photo Holiday cards! To check out the photo Holiday cards click on the link below.

There are a few criteria I have for Mr. C and I's Christmas cards. They must say the word Christmas and not Holidays and I want something sleek and elegant. Here are a few of my favorites below.

I haven't decided if I want to do a stationary card or just a photo card. They also have great calendar designs (http://www.shutterfly.com/calendars) and these would make perfect gifts!
Tonight, Mr. C and I are headed to a lake house with some friends and I could not be looking forward to this nice relaxing weekend anymore. We are coming back on Sunday and I will be surrounding myself with more Christmas as I meet up with The Bestie to attend the Christmas Village! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Veterans Day

So, the Holiday post is getting pushed back again due to Veterans Day! I am so very thankful for our freedom. Words could not express my gratitude for all who serve in the military. I would like to point out a few special people in our lives. Thank you for all you have done!

My Grandfather, Pops. He served in the Army.

My Dad-in-love, Jim. He served in the Navy.

My Brother-in-law, Chris. He served in the Army.

Matt's best friend and the best man in our wedding, Josh. He served in the Army.

Another one of Matt's best friends and groomsman in our wedding, Andrew. He served in the Coast Guard.

Another best friend of Matt's and also a groomsman, Mike. He served in the Navy.

There are many more people in our lives that have served, but these guys are our family! Happy Thursday and Veterans Day!!
